Krishna Curry House, nestled in the bustling neighborhood of Seri Setia, Petaling Jaya, stands out as a compelling destination for lovers of South Indian cuisine. Situated at Sunway PJ@51A, Jalan SS9A/19, this spacious restaurant offers a welcoming atmosphere that comfortably accommodates both regulars and newcomers alike. Its clean, large dining area is ideal for families and groups seeking authentic flavors without the fuss.

The restaurant’s hallmark lies in its Banana Leaf Rice, a traditional and beloved staple that arrives fresh with an array of vibrant vegetables. Customers frequently praise the accompanying fried fish, particularly Tenggeri, ensuring a satisfying and hearty meal. The Mutton Curry and Chicken Varuvel bring robust South Indian spice profiles that delight the palate with depth and warmth. Crab Rassam and Crab Curry offer an adventurous twist, inviting diners to savor the coastal finesse of the region’s seafood heritage.

Other notable menu items include the Claypot Marrow Curry and classic snacks like Fish Cutlets and Chicken 65, which capture the essence of everyday South Indian street food. The Nasi Lemak here also receives commendations for its balance and quality, appealing to those craving familiar Malaysian comfort food alongside South Indian fare. While the paal appam’s texture may not suit all preferences, the range of breakfast options like thosai, roti canai, and puttu mayam demonstrate the kitchen's versatility.

Though parking requires navigating to basement levels with a modest fee, this minor inconvenience does not overshadow the value and charm Krishna Curry House offers. It caters well to those seeking authentic South Indian cuisine in a relaxed setting without sacrificing quality or portion size. For aficionados of flavorful curries, fresh seafood, and hearty banana leaf meals, Krishna Curry House remains a standout choice in Petaling Jaya.

Food is spectacular and worth to try. I feel its better than the Nir... Curry House in Bangsar. The curry and vegetables are fresh. The Masala Chai is tasty too.

Had breakfast on a weekend and the place was pretty filled with what seemed like regulars. Nasi lemak with fried chicken was good, worth a try. The thosai and roti canai were okay and the accompanying curries/chutneys were also pretty good. The paal appam was pretty disappointing as the middle felt more like the texture of a dried idli rather than the spongey appam type. They also have a variety of snacks and puttu mayam set out. Service was prompt and the wait staff were friendly too. Parking is a bit intense as visitor parking is only at B2 and you gotta travel quite a way down to get to it, RM3 for the first hour and then RM2 for the subsequent hours.

My new found favourite place when it comes to satisfying my banana leaf craving. The food here was just awesome. Their fried fish (Tenggeri) was fresh and tasty. The fish was big and price was reasonable. They even have crab rasam and crab curry with was mouth watering. Price was very reasonable. I personally will surely come here again for sure !!!

Tucked away in Sg Way is this large and spacious restaurant. Their banana leaf set is good with freshly cooked vegetables. Finally, I had ikan bulus (silver whiting, Sillago spp), which in other banana leaf restaurants are sold out faster. TQ! They have crab masala rassam for those who love it. Though it's my first time, I'm not a fan of it yet. Masala tea.... the first part is muted (could be stronger), but its second is fine. Not sure if it's the combination of the crab masala rassam interfering with the palate receptors.... Still, this place is value for money.
